Monday, August 1, 10:00am: Sightseeing bus tour through town with the best guide in all of Santa Fe, New Mexico: Mr. Peter Weiss of National Geographic.

11:00am: Walking tour through Santa Fe with Peter Weiss, visiting the secret place where scientists were hired for the Los Alamos Lab.

3:00pm: Welcome reception at the Drury Plaza Hotel in the MEEM room. Mingle with your fellow travelers, collect your opera tickets, get more info about Santa Fe.

Sunday, August 7, 9:00am: We’ll meet in the lobby and head off to the El Santuario de Chimayo, which is about a half-hour north of Santa Fe. Our man Peter Weiss will guide us through the shrine. Among the stops will be the most famous weaver in Chimayo, the Centinela Chimayo Weavers. The owners will regale us with the history of Spanish weavers in New Mexico.

11:45am: Farewell lunch at the Rancho de Chimayo

1:00pm: Return to the hotel.

Afternoon and evening: Your last chance to go sightseeing and shopping!
