Dr. Ed Lieb has been a speaker with the Community Education group of LA Opera since 2004. He and his wife have been going to operas in Los Angeles since the early 1960s, and have been attending the performances at LA Opera each season since 1988.
After serving in the Air Force, Ed returned to college to earn a BS in Music Education. He taught music in elementary and junior high schools, then began attending classes at USC where he earned his PhD in “Instructional Technology”. He taught at USC for several years then went into the business world where he worked for various companies that utilized computers to train their people.
He retired in 2004, and was on the Board of Directors of the Opera League of Los Angeles for 5 years. He now helps with various Opera League projects.
