10AM Start at the Hotel for a city walking tour (around 1.5 hours) through historic Salzburg by our guide Ms. Sabine Rath – with lunch at a local restaurant
PM Free for your activities
4.00PM Leave for the Reception from the hotel to the Moenchsberg Aufzug
4.30PM – 5.30PM Welcome Reception at the beautiful Moenchsberg Terrace – M32 Moenchsberg – Be There!!


Wednesday, August 3, 2011 – Salzburg Vicinity – Hellbrunn
9AM Meet in front of the Hotel to visit the Archbishop’s Palace in Hellbrunn and the Trick Fountains, take the audio tour through the palace, hike up to the “Monatsschloessl”.
11:30AM Lunch at the Hellbrunn Castle’s Restaurant
1:15PM Visit the Gazebo from the “Sound of Music” movie

Thursday, August 4, 2011 – A day with Mozart
9AM Meet in front of the Hotel. Walk over the Salzach River to Mozart’s Living House.
9:30AM Welcome by the President of the International Foundation Mozartem Dr. Johannes Honsig-Erlenburg – Concert on Mozart’s Original Fortepiano. Tour through the Mozart Familie’s Residence. Private Special Exhibition of Mozart’s Autographs is scheduled
Noon: Lunch on you own
2:15PM Meet at the main entrance of the Grosses Festspielhaus for a tour with Mr. Friedrich Hoch through the Festival Buildings and a visit behind the Stage of the Grosses Festspielhaus, Haus for Mozart, Felsenreitschule with the newly renovated opening- up-roof. Welcome by the president of the Salzburg Festival, Dr. Helga Rabl Stadler

Friday, August 5, 2011 – St. Peter  and the World of Brewery
The morning is free for your activities
12:30PM meet in front of the Hotel. Walk to St. Peter
1PM Tour with Pater Petrus Eder OSB (also in charge of the Music Archive of St. Peter) through St. Peter’s Arch-Abbey, where Mozart’s c-Minor Mass was performed for the first time at the event of his sister Nannerl’s wedding.  Followed by a tour through Austria’s oldest library (Rococo style) with more than 100.000 volumes, restored in 1999 and only accessible by special permission.  Organ performance by Pater Petrus and Reception and Welcome by the Prior of St. Peter, Prior P. Korbinian Birnbacher OSB., at the Reception Hall of St. Peter
Choice:
After the reception there is the possibility to attend a 20 minutes tour through St. Peter’s catacombs

Meet in front of the Hotel to visit – via taxis – the Stiegl “World of Brewery”

Saturday, August 6, 2011 – Mozart Matinee – Salzburg Experience
10:15AM Walk over the Salzach River to the Mozarteum

Intermission: If the weather is fine we will have a glass of Champagne or refreshement in front of Mozart’s Magic Flute House

Sunday, August 7, 2011 – Bad Ischl and Operetta
8AM Special Event: Meet in front of the Hotel and leave with Schweighofer & Zöhrer Bus (***** Air conditioned and restroom) for Salzburg’s Lake District “Salzkammergut” to St. Wolfgang. Visit of the world famous Michael Pachers Altarpiece and the “White Horse Inn”, subject to the famous Operetta we will attend in the afternoon
Continue to visit Austrias last Emperor’s Summer Residence in Bad Ischl. Tour through the residence by Archduke Markus Habsburg-Lothringen – Refreshements
1:30PM Lunch at the famous “Zauner” – founded 1832.  In times of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy Mr. Zauner was appointed to be the “Imperial and Royal Purveyor to the Court”.  The restaurant still belongs to the Zauner family.
3:00PM Walk through the “Kurgarten” to the Congresshouse where the Operetta will be performed.
3:15PM Meet in front of Bad Ischl’s Congresshouse.
3:30PM Attendance of the Operetta Im Weissen Rössl am Wolfgangsee – Return to Salzburg

Monday, August 8, 2011 – Celtic Village-Museum- Salt Mines Hallein (out-of-package program) – Felsenreitschule
8:15AM Meet in front of the Hotel
8:30PM
Leave with Schweighofer & Zöhrer Bus (Air conditioned) to Hallein, visiting the place of the “White Gold”. Tour through the salt mine (70 minutes; please wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes). Visit the Celtic Village and Museum. For guests not attending the mine there is a visit to the historic center of town possible. Lunch on your own
1:30PM Return to Salzburg

Tuesday, August 9, 2011Upper Austria – Abbey St. Florian – Anton Bruckner Organ
8:30AM Special Event: Leave for St. Florian with Schweighofer & Zöhrer Bus (***** Air conditioned and restroom). Listen to a lecture of “Anton Bruckner, Man of Soul”, by Jay Nordlinger, during your ride through Upper Austria. Visit of the Baroque Arch Abbey St. Florian, Architect Carlo Antonio Carlone (Brita’s ancestor mothers side), and the grave of Anton Bruckner.
10:30AM Tour through the Abbey with it’s famous library and the Prinz Eugen Grand Marble Room.
11:30AM Exclusive Organ performance on the famous Anton Bruckner Organ
12:15PM Lunch with Probst Johannes Holzinger, the head of the Abbey
2PM Meet at the Bus to return to Salzburg

Wednesday, August 10, 2011 – Königsee near Berchtesgaden, Germany (out-of package program) – Farewell Dinner
8AM Meet in front of the Hotel
8:15AM Leave with Schweighofer & Zöhrer Bus (Air conditioned) to the beautiful alpine lake Königsee.
9:15AM Embark on a ship to St. Bartholomä the famous 12th century pilgrimage. Time and Lunch on your own!

Meet at the TBA meeting point and return to Salzburg
6:45PM
Farewell to Salzburg
8PM Attend an exclusive “Mozart Dinner” at the St. Peter’s Restaurant, the oldest restaurant of Europe – Enjoy the Chamber Music performance before and during the dinner in costumes of Mozart’s times (Arias and Duets of “Don Giovanni”, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, and the “Magic Flute.” The program closes with the Allegro of “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” and the “Figaro” Overture.) The food carefully has been prepared according to recipes of Mozart’s times.
