Oliver Prezant is a lecturer and educator for the Santa Fe Opera, the Music Director and Conductor of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, and a Teaching Artist in the ArtWorks program, which provides arts education workshops for Santa Fe Public Schools students and teachers.
Oliver has created lectures and education programs for audiences of all ages for numerous other organizations, including the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Opera Southwest, and the Guilds of the San Francisco Opera. He has also presented programs on the relationship between music and visual art for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the Albuquerque Museum of Art. As a violist, he performed with Santa Fe Opera, the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, and the California Chamber Virtuosi.
For many years, Oliver was on the faculty of The College of Santa Fe and has taught at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. His unique presentations have helped thousands of music lovers deepen their appreciation and understanding of music.
