Jörg Heible

Jörg Heible born 1961 in Madrid to a Spanish mother and a Viennese father, grew up trilingual in England and Germany.  His father being not only a musician but also a consul of Luxembourg and Argentina became his first joerg-heiblepiano teacher when he was only six years old.  Improvising without scores and composing of songs and other works soon became his most important purpose in life.  His perfect pitch – recognizing and naming of played keys and chords when listening –  becomes the basis for his future career.

After attending the Music Gymnasium he was admitted 1981 at the Viennese Music Academy where he studied counterpoint and composition.

His interest in classical music and also his passion of the modern, groovy music, radio and soul exert had a strong influence on his works. The music of Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau and Earth, Wind and Fire mark the style he developed.  1980 Jörg played as a Keyboarder with radio and soul tape and integrates the most different facets of “Black Music” in his style.  Numerous live appearances in Vienna, the Danube island Festival, meadows to Sunsplash and many other popular engagements follow.

In 1985 he started his own recording studio and “JAH-Music Productions” label.  Productions with Harry Stojka, Timna Brauer, Linda Sharrock and many other musicians followed.  In 1988 Jörg starts to focus on Latin-American music and he became the founder of Latin groups like “Salsa Habana” and “Chocomenta” resulting in successful performances all over Europe. The Latin-American music became  an integrated and important factor in his compositions. 1990 he continued his classical music education at the Conservatory of the Archdiocese Vienna studying church music
In 1999 he accompanied the singer Tokiko Kato (chanson) during a Japan tour. Since then Jörg produces CD’s of his own compositions like songs, piano pieces and relaxing tunes and works as a pianist, organist and singer.
